Gestalt
The screen transition in “The Fall” is one of the most impressive moments in the movie. Not just because the screenshot on the right was done with no visual effects but reflects the image before using the unity of gestalt as an effect.
The mountains, colors, placement of sand, and shadows create the image desired even though none of these things are actually connected. We make the connections in our mind.
